I would love to take full credit for everything you see, but I can't. I did quite a bit of research and there are a couple of templates that need accolades. The airplane template is courtesy of Southern Living (click here to print). The Happy (heart) Day is a printable template found here.
Packaging to Sell
How do you make your soaping projects stand out from the rest? Here's one idea as posted on my blog. You can make this work for any occasion. Just swap out the word label and ribbon to fit your occasion.
Believe it or not, there is a use for those empty toilet tissue rolls you throw in the trash. I shaped them into small "pillow" boxes. I stacked them with double sided tape and tied together with jute cord. You can purchase 10 feet of 3 ply jute cord, 20 gift tags as pictured, and two printed sheets of vintage type stamps to adhere to the gift tags.
Sorry, we don't supply the toilet tissue rolls :))

Financially, times are tough. We are all looking for ways to recycle, repurpose and put on our creative caps to save a few dollars. This year, I am focusing on ways to recycle or reuse items that would end up in the trash. Here is my take on zig fill for small gift boxes (like soap).

These newspaper bags are made by a charity organization whose main objective is to provide education and shelter to street children in India.
The organization was started in 2004 by street children who wanted to give something back in return for the opportunities which had allowed them to escape desperate circumstances.
These elder children, now married with children of their own, generate an income by making newspaper bags and jute items. This allows them to take care of thirteen street children that they have saved from the streets surrounding Delhi train station.
Support for this wonderful project means that these children can enjoy going to school and playing, rather than pulling rickshaws, shoe polishing, rag picking and worse.
The newspapers are collected by one man on his bicycle rickshaw calling at residential homes for any read newspapers. This is why sometimes your bag will have a completed crossword!
