Soap Making Instructional ~ Tutorial:
Four Leaf Clover Soap

Four Leaf Clover Soap

Make a lucky four-leaf clover soap using Mold Market's clover mold. It's perfect for duo-color pours.

Here's what you need:

GETTING STARTED

Step One

Step One

Cube and melt clear soap base in microwave using short bursts of heat. Add green colorant. Mix well. Add desired fragrance (optional). If making 3 soaps, 5 ounces of clear soap will be sufficient for the coloring the clover.

We recommend using 1 teaspoon of fragrance when scenting the 5 ounces of green color.

Step Two

Step 2

Slowly pour the melted green soap into the leaf and stem portion of the mold.

Step Three

Allow the green soap to set up until firm and then clean up any overpour with the recessed smoother tool.

Step 3

Step Four

Cube approximately 12 ounces of white soap. Place in glass measuring cup and melt in microwave in short bursts. Add fragrance. We used 2 teaspoons for the 12 ounces.

Step 4

Spray green soap with rubbing alcohol before pouring white soap layer. The rubbing alcohol helps the green and white soap layers to adhere to each other. Make sure soap is not too hot when pouring the white layer.

Step 4

Step Five

Step 5

Pour slowly, you don't want to puncture the green layer of soap.

Step 5

Spritz with rubbing alcohol to remove surface air bubbles.

Step Six

Allow soap to set up for 3 hours before removing from mold.

Step 6

Step Seven

Step 7

Demold soaps and wrap. You will want to wrap your soaps to prevent condensation (glycerin dew) from forming on the surface of the soaps.
