Soap Making Instructional ~ Tutorials:
Melt & Pour Soap Frosting Revisited
In a previous soap making instructional we showed how to make soap frosting using MP soap base and whipped soap. There was quite a bit of soap frosting left-over from that project and we weren't sure what to do with it. Could it be re-used, re-mixed, remelted, or was it a total waste? We did some experimenting to find those answers.
This video shares some of our initial findings....
Follow up:
The "remix" soap frosting set up for a GOOD 24 hours with no rave reviews. It remained quite soft which is not good if you plan to wrap your soaps. It is good news if you plan to re-use as a body butter.
I'll try adding a few ounces of melted soap base the next go-around and see if it helps to firm up the "remix". I'm certain that with a little more tweaking, it'll be good to go.
